Teachers Beware of My Space

We are learning that students are creating fake MySpace profiles of employees.

If this happens to you, immediately notify: MySpace.com to report abuse and contact Local Law Enforcement and/or Miami Dade School Police.

Depending on state law, the student may have committed a crime such as identity theft, fraud, or criminal libel. Also, MySpace won’t help identify the culprit without a subpoena, which may require the involvement of the local prosecutor or police.
