Power Outage

Allow me to bring to your attention that a car apparently hit a pole approximately one block from the school at 6:05 p.m. last night.

As a consequence, Parkway Elementary lost access to power and was running on its emergency generators. With the assistance of our region and FPL, our power was apparently restored during the night.

Water Problem

Yesterday, during the construction of the shelter, the crew damaged a water pipe.

Because we were worried that we would have no access to the water system, we immediately contacted the District's Response Team and the problem was apparently resolved late last night.
Please inform us if you are having any problems with your sink, bathroom or air conditioner.

New Playground

Ms. Abner, Dr. Kosnitzky and Mr. Sommers met with district personnel and representatives from five playground equipment and installation companies.

These companies are all bidding for our business for this $75,000 project which will be located in the fenced in area behind the hard court area. Ms Abner is reviewing each company's proposal and will make a decision in the coming weeks. The playground should be available to our students by November and is expected to hold two classes at a time.
