Changes to FCAT and Sunshine State Standards

The proposal would add social studies to the FCAT and push back the testing dates for the test to March for the writing portion, and April for the other tests.

The legislation would also replace the Sunshine State Standards with a new set of ''world-class'' standards that would have specific goals for each grade.
