As part of our alarm project, please note that on Thursday, February 8 and Friday, February 9, safety netting we be in place on the south and west side of our KG pod and basketball court. The newly ratified contract stipulates that opportunites for positive parent-school relationships be provided during afternoon and evening conferences. Students will be released early in order for teachers to meet and confer with parents. Teachers will be paid for the scheduled evening parent conferences.
Gov. Charlie Crist will roll out a proposal this week to make changes to how the state uses and administers the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. Details to come.
In case you were not aware, the Florida Department of Education has a website dedicated to view one's area of certification. You do not need a password to research this information. However, a password is required if you are inquiring on the status of your application.

Please submit your list of potential retainees to Dr. K by Wednesday, January 31. In case, clarity is needed.

Currently, the top three classes in the Accelerated Reader Program are Ms. Clark, Ms Samuels and Ms. Wilkison.

The calendars that were developed by the UTD/MDCPS Ad Hoc Calendar Committee have been approved. In a vote conducted on the UTD web page, UTD bargaining unit members voted 81% to 19% to support the proposed calendars. The School Board also approved the proposed calendars at their meeting on January 17, 2007.
